Sawmill Peak dominates the high ground of the Egan Range, looking out over a series of drainages that descend into the White River Valley to the west. This desert landscape is defined by its vertical relief and scattered water sources, including the curiously named Mahogany Hotel Spring and several seasonal seeps like Summit Spring. The topography reveals a complex network of canyons, such as Sawmill Canyon, Cottonwood Canyon, and the distinctively titled Christmas Tree Canyon, which funnel runoff from the peaks.
