Continental Divide winds through this high-altitude landscape along the border of Bitterroot National Forest and Beaverhead National Forest. This remote section of the Montana wilderness is defined by its complex drainage systems, including the East Fk Bitterroot R and numerous mountain streams like Mink Creek and Lodgepole Creek. The terrain is marked by prominent natural features such as Schultz Saddle and the Tolan Ridge, which separate the various forest basins.

Evidence of human activity is sparse, limited primarily to primitive transportation routes and resource extraction. A network of Pack Trail and Jeep Trail paths provides the only access into the Anaconda Pintlar Wilderness and surrounding forest land. Near the northern edge of the sheet, a Quarry and a Hilltop overlook suggest localized industrial or surveying points of interest in an otherwise largely unpopulated wilderness area.
