Sheridan Gas Field occupies the western edge of this Colorado County landscape, where the flat Texas coastal plain is defined by a dense network of seasonal creek drainages and water management systems. The hydrology is dominated by the multi-pronged Sandy Creek system, including Middle Sandy Cr, E Sandy Cr, and W Sandy Cr, which meander through a grid of rural roads and large ranch properties.
