Gunnison National Forest land dominates the northeastern reach of this Colorado high country survey, where the drainages of Cabin Cr and E Cabin Cr carve through the rising elevation. The landscape is defined by its complex network of named ravines and ridges, ranging from Signal Peak in the west to the prominent Flat Top in the south. The southern half of the map is marked by the broad valley of Tomichi Creek, which collects runoff from several significant features including Chance Gulch, Long Gulch, and Sewell Gulch.
