The Clam River and its expansive wetlands dominate this portion of Burnett County, weaving through a landscape defined by an intricate network of glacial lakes and watercourses. Central to the area is the large expanse of Clam Lake and its northern counterpart, Lower Clam Lake, which are fed by the river as it moves toward the Yellow River in the north.
