The Lost River Range and Challis National Forest dominate the high-elevation western half of this Idaho interior landscape. Ascending to the summit of Spring Hill, the terrain gives way to the broad Pahsimeroi Valley to the east, where the Pahsimeroi River collects drainage from several mountain creeks. This 2013 survey illustrates the remote network of forest and county roads, including Donkey Hills Rd and Burnt Creek Rd, that facilitate access across these public lands.
