McDevitt Springs and a network of deep drainage systems define this high-desert landscape in Morrow County. The area is characterized by a series of prominent canyons, including Juniper Canyon, Strawberry Canyon, and Well Spring Canyon, which create a complex topographical relief against the surrounding plateaus. These natural features dictated the placement of early transportation routes, many of which still follow the canyon floors or ridgelines today.
