Strawberry Mtn and the surrounding Strawberry Range dominate this portion of the Malheur National Forest in Grant County. The high-elevation terrain is marked by a series of glacial cirques and alpine lakes, including Strawberry Lake and the smaller Little Strawberry Lake, connected by Strawberry Falls. Unusual geological formations such as the Rabbit Ears and Sheep Rock rise above the drainage basins, while the lower slopes are carved by numerous creeks including Onion Cr and Strawberry Cr. This landscape reflects a protected wilderness area where modern road development is sparse, primarily limited to routes like the Natl Forest Develop Road 6001 Rd. The map provides a detailed view of the complex water systems feeding from the heights, from Wildcat Spring to the Meadow Fork Big Cr.
