Lolo National Forest encompasses much of this high-elevation landscape, where the Missoula County terrain rises toward the summits of Stuart Peak and McLeod Peak. The recreation area around Missoula Snow Bowl is visible in the southwestern corner, accessed by Snow Bowl Rd and Point Six Rd, which leads toward the high point at Point Six. This modern survey illustrates the complex watershed of the Rattlesnake and Clark Fork systems, including the drainage of Rattlesnake Cr and the alpine features of Grant Creek Basin.
