Sugar Lake serves as the geographic heart of this Crawford County landscape, where the waters of Lake Cr feed into the basin before winding southward toward Wilson Mills. The area's glacial history is physically recorded in the Dead-Ice Terminal Moraine, a distinctive landform situated between the drainage of Trout Run and the primary lake.
