The high plains of Sublette County are defined by an intricate network of seasonal drainage and water management infrastructure designed for life in an arid landscape. In this 2017 study, the terrain is marked by prominent topographic features such as Milleson Draw, Reardon Draw, and West Buckhorn Draw, which channel runoff toward Alkali Cr. Human modification of the environment is evident through a series of numbered catchments including Luman Reservoir Number 1, Wardell Reservoir Number 5, and Antelope Reservoir Number 7. These structures, along with Reardon Reservoir Number 1, suggest a landscape heavily utilized for livestock grazing or resource management. The map also identifies industrial sites like Alkali Draw Pit Number 3 and Alkali Draw Pit Number 5, while the southern reaches of the quadrangle are carved by the distinct Chapel Canyon. Access to these remote areas is maintained via several Bureau of Land Management routes, including BLM RD 5404 and BLM RD 5401.
