Summit Ridge rises above a deeply dissected landscape of the high desert, defining the watershed divide between numerous named drainages. To the east and south, the terrain falls away into a complex network of canyons, including Burn Canyon, Fall Canyon, and the deep incision of Ferry Canyon. The southeastern corner of the map reveals the Deschutes River as it forms the boundary between Wasco and Sherman Counties.
