Gates Of The Arctic National Park encompasses the majority of this high-latitude terrain in the Northwest Arctic Borough. The landscape is defined by its drainage systems, most notably the south-flowing Karunmullina Cr which cuts through the central sections of the quadrangle. In the southwestern corner, the headwaters of Nigikpalgururvrak Cr emerge, illustrating the complex hydrography of this protected wilderness area. This 2016 survey provides a precise look at the township and range divisions across the park, including segments of T29N, T28N, and T27N. The lack of man-made structures or developed roads highlights the preservation of this remote interior, where natural watercourses remain the primary geographic landmarks for navigation and study.
