Telephone Draw cuts through the high plains of eastern Wyoming in this 2017 survey of Niobrara County. The landscape is defined by its intermittent drainage systems and rugged vertical markers, notably the prominent Tim Butte and Castle Rock. These features overlook a network of seasonal watercourses, including the westward-flowing Buck Cr and its tributaries, while the southern portion of the sheet is drained by Young Woman Cr and Old Woman Cr.
