The rugged shoreline of Lake Superior and its immediate interior define this 2011 survey of Ontonagon County. Along the coast, the prominent Tenmile Point separates the open lake from the waters of Tenmile Bay. The landscape is etched by a series of waterways moving toward the lake, including the Firesteel River, the winding Flintsteel River, and the West Sleeping River.
