About this map

The Fourche La Fave River snakes through the northern reaches of this terrain, defining a landscape of sharp river bends like Calfneck Bend and Horseshoe Bend. Much of the southern half is dominated by the Ouachita National Forest, where the ridges of Long Mountain and Link Mountain rise above the Maumelle River valley. A significant portion of the northeastern quadrant is submerged beneath Harris Brake, while a Fish Hatchery is located further south near Williams Junction.
