Windigo Pass serves as a critical high-altitude corridor through the high country on this 2011 survey, situated within the Oregon Cascades Recreation Area. The landscape is dominated by volcanic features and alpine hydrology, including Red Cinder Butte and the glacial Windigo Lakes. The drainage of the North Umpqua River begins its course here, fed by numerous tributaries such as Bradley Creek and Thirsty Creek.
