Tucker and Gilluly sit within a landscape defined by deep canyons and high ridges at the edge of the Wasatch Range. The drainage of Soldier Creek serves as a primary corridor for travel, where the modern highway system follows the same narrow path used by earlier pioneers and rail workers. Near the junction of Starvation Canyon and Starvation Creek, the topography drops significantly from the heights of Bennion Ridge and Tucker Peak.

A network of forest and mountain roads, such as Tie Fork Rd and the high-elevation Skyline Dr, provides access to numerous side-hollows with names suggesting early industrial or agricultural use, including Mine Hollow, Drunkard Hollow, and Soberville Hollow. To the north, the headwaters of the Left Fork White River and Willow Creek mark the transition toward the Uinta Basin, while Indian Creek cuts a path through the central portion of the quadrangle.
