The High Plains of Swisher County are defined by the dramatic incisions of North Tule Draw and Middle Tule Draw, which converge as they move eastward across the Panhandle landscape. At the western edge of this 2019 survey, the outskirts of Tulia meet the prairie, where SE 2nd St transitions into the rural road network. The drainage system is the most prominent natural feature, with the seasonal waters of Tule Cr winding through the draws towards Tule Lake. This map captures a landscape structured by a precise grid of county roads, such as Co RD 18 and Co RD 21, which partition the agricultural land between the deep topographic relief of the draws. The presence of Ranch RD 1318 illustrates the continued importance of ranching and transport in this part of Texas.
