Valley Station and the neighboring communities of Prairie Village and Valley Gardens anchor the northwest corner of this Jefferson County landscape, where the flatlands of the Ohio River valley meet the rising knobs of the south. The transition from the urbanized sprawl along the Dixie Hwy to the forested ridges of Jefferson Hill and Mitchell Hill reveals a complex topography of gaps and hollows, including Blevins Gap and Dillon Hollow.
