Voca is the primary settlement on this central Texas landscape, situated along the southern reaches of the San Saba River and near the crossing of Tiger Creek. This area of McCulloch County is defined by a network of ranching properties and small waterways, including the winding Brady Creek to the north and the secluded Lost Creek to the east. Several named landholdings, such as Brook Ranch, Stephens Ranch, and Brady Creek Lodge, indicate the low-density, agricultural character of the region during the early 21st century.
