About this map

Vya serves as a lone point of settlement in this remote corner of Washoe County, where the high desert terrain of Long Valley meets the rising slopes of the Hays Canyon Range. The landscape is defined by ephemeral hydrology and the ancient basins of the Great Basin, notably the expansive Fortynine Lake and the smaller Central Lake to the south.
