Fishlake National Forest borders the western edge of this high-desert landscape where the borders of Sevier and Emery counties meet. The terrain is defined by a series of prominent level features, most notably Walker Flat, Ivie Creek Bench, and the extensive Water Hollow Benches. These landforms provided natural corridors for transportation, as seen by the path of Ut-10 and Ut-72 winding through the region's valleys and gaps. Drainage patterns are dominated by Quitchupah Cr and Ivie Cr, which have carved significant features such as Blue Trail Canyon into the landscape.
