The Monitor Range dominates this portion of central Nevada, where high-elevation basins and steep canyons define the landscape along the boundary of Lander and Eureka Counties. Much of the territory falls within the Toiyabe National Forest, a region characterized by its drainage systems and remote summits. The topographical detail reveals a network of waterways and geographic depressions, including the Charnac Basin and the winding course of Reynolds Creek.
