White Horse Mountain and the Goshute Mountains dominate this high-desert landscape in eastern Elko County. The terrain is defined by a series of vital water sources tucked into the foothills, including White Horse Springs, Little White Horse Spring, and a sequence of numbered springs labeled Battle Spring Number One, Two, and Three. These water points have historically served as critical markers in an otherwise arid environment.
