The Whiteface River meanders through this portion of Saint Louis County, defining a landscape dominated by complex wetlands and a dense network of glacial lakes. In the northern reaches, the clustered Washusk Lake Number One, Washusk Lake Number Two, and Washusk Lake Number Three sit amidst a wilderness accessed by the Whiteface Truck Trl and Bobcat Creek Trl.
