The drainage of Hot Cr and Little Hot Creek flows through a high-altitude basin characterized by alkali flats, including Big Alkali Lake and Little Alkali Lake. To the south, the waters gather toward Lake Crowley, while the Owens River meanders across the northern reaches near Benton Crossing.
