Drummond Island anchors the southeastern reaches of the Upper Peninsula, where the waters of Whitney Bay and Huron Bay meet the northern expanse of Lake Huron. This 2019 survey documents a landscape defined by an intricate network of inland lakes and coastal inlets, including Squeaky Lake, Bear Lake, and Espanore Lake. The shoreline is heavily fragmented by numerous landforms like Point Anderson and Pigeon Point, alongside a series of smaller islands such as Bootjack Island, Silver Island, and Garden Island.
