Wildomar and its surrounding ranchlands are captured during a period of transition, where established rural holdings meet early residential expansion along the foothills of the Elsinore Mountains. The map illustrates a landscape of working ranches such as Morrell Ranch and Los Alamos Ranch, set against the steep slopes and deep drainages of Slaughterhouse Canyon and Wildhorse Canyon. The 1982 photorevisions, shown in purple, highlight the growth of the community near the junction of Grand Ave and Palomar Street, including a Trailer Park and new residential streets.
