About this map

Wrangell-Saint Elias National Park and the adjacent Wrangell-Saint Elias National Preserve define this coastal glacial landscape in the 2017 Yakutat D-5 NW quadrangle. The topography is dominated by massive ice flows, including the Lucia Glacier, Atrevida Glacier, and Turner Glacier, which descend from high mountain elevations toward the Gulf of Alaska. Near the shoreline, the melting ice feeds complex drainage patterns such as Esker Stream, where the landscape shifts from ice and rock to coastal wetlands.
