Tanaga Island anchors the western portion of this maritime survey, showing the sharp coastal contours and high elevations of this remote Aleutian landmass. The topography is defined by prominent coastal landmarks such as the northern protrusion of Cape Sudak and the sharp jaggedness of Pendant Point to its south. The map documents the interface between these rocky shores and the surrounding Bering Sea, including the southern reach of Barnes Point. To the south, the deep waters of Kanaga Pass separate the island from neighboring landmasses. This 2021 edition provides precise coordinates for the Public Land Survey System, including t96s r202w and t96s r201w, marking the grid of this sparsely populated volcanic landscape.
