The Agency Draw Oil Field defines much of the industrial character in this portion of Uintah County, where the high desert plateau is deeply incised by a complex network of drainages. Running generally northwest to southeast, Willow Cr and its tributary S Willow Crk carve through the terrain, creating natural corridors such as Buck Canyon and Sunday School Canyon. These geographical features have historically dictated the placement of remote outposts like Santio Crossing and the Stevens Ranch.
