Aladdin Mtn and Seldom Seen Mtn anchor the high country within the Colville National Forest, where the boundary between Stevens and Pend Oreille counties cuts through the timbered landscape. The area is defined by a network of drainage basins and meadows, including the prominent Big Meadow Lake in the north and Lake Thomas to the south. Historically significant trails such as the Meadow Creek Trl and Thomas Mountain Trl suggest a long-standing pattern of access through this part of the Selkirk Mountains.
