The terrain is defined by a dense network of steep hollows, including Gladstone Hollow and Wolf Hollow, which directed the paths of early transportation and agriculture. Along the Little Delaware River and its tributaries, the map reveals the remnants of the regional transport network, most notably the Old Tremper Railroad Grade following the valley floor near the village center.

Remote upland landmarks such as Cabin Hill Ch and various family-named features like Calhoun Hill provide evidence of the scattered rural communities that once thrived in these high Catskill valleys. Significant portions of the southern terrain are preserved within the Delaware State Forest, where the land rises toward Murphy Hill.
