The map details a transition from the prominent peaks of Antelope Peak and Needle Peak to the flatter plains of Hidden Valley in the north. Extensive sections of the Papago Indian Reservation are shown, revealing a network of desert infrastructure including numerous prospects and a landing strip.

Evidence of mid-century infrastructure expansion is clear along the central corridor, where a major highway is marked as under construction near the Roadside Rest. A grid of local thoroughfares such as Maricopa Road, Stanfield Road, and Green Road connects isolated wells and water sources across the arid terrain.
