Marienette and Banks anchor the western reaches of this North Mississippi landscape, where the alluvial lowlands of the Mississippi Delta meet the rising bluffs of the loess hills. The drainage network is particularly dense, defined by slow-moving watercourses like Duck Pond Bayou, Lake Cormorant Bayou, and Beaverdam Bayou. These bayous weave through a grid of agricultural fields, punctuated by engineered features like the Big Six Ditch.

To the east, the terrain becomes more varied around Lake Mussacuna and the community of Eudora. Genealogists will find significance in the Goodrum Memorial Cem and Eudora Baptist Cem, which mark long-established local settlements.
