Bassoo Peak and the surrounding high country of Flathead County are defined by a network of steep drainages and prominent summits in this 2011 topographic record. The landscape is carved by substantial watercourses including Big Rock Creek, which drains the northern slopes, and the winding Mill Creek to the south. Transport through this terrain is limited to a system of forest access routes like Mill Creek Rd and various numbered roads such as L-3000 and L-1000.
