About this map

The Bald Eagle Creek valley serves as a primary corridor through this central Pennsylvania landscape, where the communities of Beech Creek, Blanchard, and Eagleville are clustered near the junction of the creek and its namesake tributary. The topography is dominated by the massive ridge of Bald Eagle Mountain, which is breached by the Beech Creek Gap. To the south, the terrain opens into the Nittany Valley and Little Nittany Valley, characterized by numerous natural springs such as Washington Furnace Spring, Lamar Spring, and Crystal Spring.
