Chugach National Forest encompasses the entirety of this topographic survey, highlighting the massive ice fields and high-elevation terrain of South Central Alaska. The landscape is defined by massive glacial flows, most notably Wernicke Glacier in the northeastern reaches and the sprawling expanse of Miles Glacier which occupies much of the central and southern terrain. This 2024 edition provides a clear record of the glacial boundaries and drainage patterns across the rugged Chugach mountains. The surveying includes township and range lines for t13s r8e, t13s r9e, t14s r8e, and t14s r9e, providing a grid for researchers to locate specific peaks and ice formations within this protected wilderness.
