Wrangell-St. Elias Wilderness dominates this remote high-altitude terrain along the international border of the United States of America. The landscape is defined by the massive glacial systems and peaks of the Saint Elias Mountains, where ice and rock dictate the geography. In the southern portion of the sheet, the Logan Glacier flows through the deep valleys between towering ridges, while the Centennial Range rises to the northwest. This 2024 survey documents the contemporary extent of these glacial features and the protected wilderness boundary in one of the most inaccessible sections of the Alaska-Yukon frontier, providing a precise record of the ice-fields and topographic contours of the high north.
