The Pacific Crest National Scenic Trail winds through the high-elevation divide between Snoqualmie National Forest and Wenatchee National Forest, tracing the rugged boundary of King and Kittitas counties. This mountainous landscape is defined by a series of prominent peaks and passes, including Snowshoe Butte, Bearpaw Butte, and the central Blowout Mountain. The headwaters of several drainages originate here, with the Green River flowing west while Cabin Cr and Big Cr descend the eastern slopes.
