Kenai Fjords National Park and the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge dominate this coastal landscape on the Kenai Peninsula. The geography is defined by deep glacial fjords and prominent headlands, where the land meets the Pacific Ocean. On the western shore, Holgate Head stands at the entrance to Holgate Arm, while the eastern side is shaped by the long profile of the Aialik Peninsula.
