Historically significant family plots and community resting places are scattered throughout the landscape, including Mount Sinai Cem, McNeece Cem, and Corkern Cem. To the southwest, the small settlement of Plainview sits near the headwaters of Berrys Cr, while the central terrain is marked by Jacksonville Springs. This area remains largely defined by its watercourses, such as Peters Cr and Bens Cr, which dictated the early placement of roads and homesteads across the parish.
