Mulberry Creek and its many tributaries, including Betty Creek, Big Sandy Creek, and Brushy Creek, define the drainage patterns across this Hall County landscape. In the southern reach of the survey, the terrain drops significantly into the Palo Duro Canyon, where the Prairie Dog Town Fork Red River carves through the Panhandle earth. This area represents a transition between the high plains and the broken canyon country to the south.
