Paria Canyon Primitive Area dominates the southwestern portion of this landscape where the Kane County and Coconino County line meets the Utah-Arizona border. The terrain is defined by deep incisions and high plateaus, including Bridger Canyon and the notable Buckskin Gulch. Transportation is centered on the corridor of Us-89, which serves as the primary artery through this high desert region, passing just south of The Rimrocks and East Clark Bench.
