Wasco Butte overlooks a high-elevation landscape of flats, canyons, and essential water management systems within the Mount Hood National Forest. The eastern portion of the quadrangle shows the transition from the forest into the agricultural and residential outskirts of Chenoweth, characterized by aviation sites like Chenoweth Airpark and Pointers Airport. The infrastructure for water storage is prominent throughout the terrain, featuring Wicks Reservoir, Evans Reservoir, and Trugg Reservoir, alongside numerous named springs such as Dunnigan Spring and Scheuter Spring that feed the creek systems.
