The town is situated just north of the Gila River, where the Arlington Canal and various irrigation works supported the valley's expansion. Just to the southwest lies the smaller settlement of Allenville, positioned near a Gravel Pit along the river's edge.

Beyond the irrigated fields, the landscape rises sharply into the Buckeye Hills, where the terrain is marked by numerous Prospects and archaeological interest, specifically the Petroglyphs noted near the river bend. To the south, the hills give way to the wide expanse of Rainbow Valley, a region defined by its isolation and prominent peaks like Eagle Mtn and Mica.
