The Similkameen River carves a significant path across this northern Okanogan County landscape, winding past Shankers Bend and underneath the slopes of Kruger Mountain. The terrain is defined by prominent peaks and deep draws, including the eponymous Bullfrog Mtn and Ellemeham Mtn. These highlands separate the river valley from a series of lakes to the south, most notably Wannacut Lake and the northern tip of Palmer Lake.
