Paria sits at the southern edge of this Kane County terrain, where the Paria River meets a complex network of drainages. The landscape is defined by its dramatic geological formations, including the prominent ridge of The Cockscomb and the high elevations of Calico Peak and No Mans Mesa. Natural landmarks such as Sam Pollock Arch and Starlight Arch are mapped alongside deep incisions like Hackberry Canyon and Kitchen Canyon. The area exhibits a stark contrast between high plateaus and lower basin features like Upper Death Valley and Lower Death Valley. Access is primarily provided by Cottonwood Canyon Rd, which tracks the course of Cottonwood Cr through the eastern portion of the quadrangle. This survey illustrates the intricate drainage patterns of Hackberry Cr and Hogeye Cr as they contribute to the regional watershed within this portion of southern Utah.
