Casey Peak and the high ridges of the Elkhorn Mountains dominate this 2014 survey of the Helena National Forest. The landscape is defined by a series of distinct upland flats known as parks, including Montgomery Park, Horsethief Park, and the curiously named Airplane Park near the southern boundary. These open meadows often sit at the headwaters of numerous drainages that flow into both Jefferson and Broadwater counties.
